Soleil Fuels has made a change to it's baler platform for the Harvest 2011 season, having ordered five new Claas Quadrant 3400's. The new balers which will compliment the company's existing MF2190 fleet are expected to start arriving in April so that they can be used during the grass season.
Trials undertaken by a partner company last year, showed that the Claas unit's achieved a significant throughput advantage over the Massey's and delivered excellent bale weight's compared to those seen from the MF2170.
Soleil has withdrawn the MF2170 this year and will now focus on a complete move away from the typical Hesston 4x4 bale. With the new Claas bale weight's it's possible to achieve transport savings by ensuring that lorries are loaded to their maximum.
